Kirsty is a compassionate and affirming Clinical Psychologist Registrar who works with older children, adolescents, and adults. She creates a space of psychological safety where clients feel deeply heard and validated. With a strong passion for working with individuals who have experienced chronic psychological difficulties, trauma, and neurodivergence—Kirsty approaches therapy with warmth, authenticity, and a strengths-based perspective. Kirsty is also drawn to supporting people in the perinatal and parenting space, recognising the unique challenges that can arise during these life stages. She is also a trained Circle of Security facilitator, supporting caregivers in fostering secure attachments with their children.
Bulk Billing & Discounted Rates Offer

Kirsty understands that cost of living pressures can make it even more difficult to reach out for support. To help with this, for the months of February and March, Kirsty is offering to support clients with discounted rates. With a valid Mental Health Care Plan, Kirsty’s session fees for these months will be $30 gap for Tuesday appointments, and $50 gap for Saturday appointments. Please get in touch to discuss your eligibility and to book your session.

Approach
Kirsty believes in exploring and understanding past experiences to make sense of current struggles, predominantly working from a schema-informed and ACT approach. She also incorporates a range of other therapeutic modalities, including CBT, CFT, and DBT, tailoring her approach to meet each client’s needs.
Above all, Kirsty’s work is grounded in a deep respect for each individual’s journey, ensuring they feel seen, understood, and supported in their path toward healing and growth.
Outside of her professional life, Kirsty enjoys spending time with her infant son and family, cooking, and a good reformer pilates class!
Unique Perspective
Kirsty is a Clinical Psychologist Registrar with extensive training in assessing and understanding psychological difficulties. She takes a thorough, big-picture approach—exploring not just the challenges someone is facing, but also the factors that may have made them more vulnerable to those struggles, the life events that led up to them, and the patterns that might be keeping them going. She works especially well with people who are naturally curious about their thoughts and behaviours and want to understand the “hows and whys” behind their experiences.
Teleheatlh
Kirsty sees telehealth as a great way to make therapy more accessible and convenient. Many neurodiverse clients find that online sessions remove some of the stress that can come with in-person appointments, like travel, parking, or dealing with unfamiliar environments. For those who feel uncomfortable seeing themselves on screen, she offers workarounds—including phone consultations where appropriate. Telehealth can also be a lifesaver for parents, particularly those with young children, and for people in areas where psychological support is harder to find.

Brisbane Psychology Centre
What to expect at your first session
In a first session, Kirsty focuses on making sure clients feel comfortable and heard. She often starts with a lighthearted introduction before talking about what to expect from therapy. She’s also interested in understanding any past experiences with psychological support, what’s bringing someone to therapy now, and what they hope to get out of it. The session is an opportunity to ask plenty of questions, get to know each other, and start mapping out a way forward.

For Kirsty, the most rewarding part of her work is being able to sit with people in difficult moments, helping them feel truly seen and understood. She finds deep meaning in supporting clients as they make sense of their experiences, gain new insights, and find hope in the possibility of change.
